# 19. Blockchain specialist

*Nature of the tasks*

* Provide expert level business and technical solution advice around Blockchain solution
* Install and maintain a distributed consensus db (etcd, consul)
* Understand and maintain the Rest API service running behind those distributed DB.
* Research, design and test the newest blockchain technologies (proof of stake in Ethereum)
* Be involved in the global blockchain community
* Document new solutions as well as maintaining that of existing ones

*Education* : EQF 6

* IT engineering degree / applied Mathematics degree / Cryptography / Web 2.0 and REST API application

*Specific expertise and technologies*

* Good knowledge of encryption format and protocol (x509, SHA, RSA, ECDSA)
* Good knowledge of kubernetes.
* Experience with DevOps and GitOPs

*Certification and/or Standards*

Mandatory certifications (one of) :

* Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
* RedHat Certification Enterprise

*Skills*

* Capability of integration in an international/multi- cultural environment
* Communication and presentation skills to include technical and business concepts
