Lot 1: Standard external consultancy services in the field of information systems
Nature of the tasks
Design, engineering, testing, documentation, release control, maintenance, and technical support of Linux workstation environments
Design, engineering, testing, documentation, release control, maintenance, and technical support of lifecycle, security, and systems management solutions for Linux workstations
Proof of concept, prototyping of infrastructure solutions in the specific area of Linux workstations
Technical responsibility for infrastructure engineering projects
Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns, and best practices in the specific area of Linux workstations
Drafting of technical, operational, and user documentation
Assistance with training support staff and users
Participation in coordination, project, and operational meetings
Education : EQF 6
Specific expertise and technologies
Excellent knowledge of the Linux workstation distribution(s) used in the European Commission, including – but not limited to – system architecture, installation, configuration, maintenance, and support
Good knowledge of Linux package management
Good knowledge of Linux shell scripting
Knowledge of Python
Good knowledge of lifecycle, security, and systems management solutions for Linux workstations
Knowledge of networking technologies
Certification and/or Standards
